The Ceremony

greg | September 1, 2010

It was quite a pleasure to have my dad officiate our wedding. With his help, Rachel and I wrote our own ceremony and our vows:

From today forward
Until we are parted by death
No matter if we are
healthy or sick
rich or poor
jubilant or melancholy
I will love you
I will respect you
I will honor you
I will never leave you
and I will seek the Lord
and depend on him for the strength to keep these vows

Love is…

Love is patient
Love is kind
It does not envy
It does not boast
It is not proud
It is not rude
It is not self-seeking
It is not easily angered
It keeps no record of wrongs
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth
It always protects
Always trusts
Always hopes
Always perseveres

-1 Corinthians 13
